Installations more than double in 3 years; some home owners even sell back excess power

Solar panels are becoming a hot item in Singapore, with the number of installations more than doubling in the last three years.

According to the latest statistics released by the Energy Market Authority, there were 3,504 solar installations as of the third quarter of last year - 40 per cent higher than in the third quarter of 2018, and 113 per cent higher than in 2016.
