Driving a private-hire vehicle not appealing to young adults

Six out of 10 respondents to a car ownership survey said the idea of driving a private-hire vehicle (PHV) did not appeal to them, with many doubtful they could make a viable living out of it.
This was even when the respondents, who were between 18 and 35 years old, were told to assume that they could cover the cost of the daily rental with about three to five hours of driving.
