Changi Airport Group selects design team for T5 after two-year global search

Construction on Changi Airport Terminal 5 has started to get the land ready for the terminal. The mega terminal is expected to be completed in the 2030s and will eventually increase Changi Airport's capacity to 150 million passengers annually.

SINGAPORE - An American firm behind some eye-catching work has bagged the deal to design Changi Airport's biggest passenger terminal following a two-year global search.

The coveted Terminal 5 job has gone to a team led by American firm KPF Associates that bid for the project in partnership with Heatherwick Studio, James Corner Field Operations, Architects 61 and Lead 8, sources told The Straits Times.
