SINGAPORE - Road closures for events will affect several bus services this weekend.
On Saturday, Nov 28, SMRT bus services 75 and 167 will be diverted. The bus stop opposite the Singapore Cricket Club on Connaught Drive will be skipped from 6 am to 11pm due to the NParks Flea Market and Satay Night event at Empress Place.
On Sunday, Nov 29, the SG50 Jubilee Big Walk 2015 and the One-north Run 2015 will affect bus services along Portsdown Road and in the Civic District.
From 5 am to 9.30 am, bus stops along Portsdown Road, between one-north station and before Jalan Heng Jebat on service 191's route, will be skipped and diverted along North Buona Vista Road towards Commonwealth Avenue .
Several bus services will also be skipping stops near Dhoby Ghaut station, Singapore Management University, New Bridge Road, Clarke Quay station, Hill Street and Fullerton Road between 5 am and 12pm. Commuters can check the SMRT and SBS Transit websites for a full list of the affected services and bus stops.
About 25,000 people will be participating in the SG50 Jubilee Big Walk, which is organised jointly by The New Paper and the People's Association.
