SINGAPORE - Travellers can expect air fares to increase on the back of rising fuel prices, analysts said, with Scoot announcing on Thursday (Aug 2) that one-way ticket prices will increase by between $5 and $30 from Sept 1.
The price of jet fuel is at its highest in about four years and many airlines inevitably will, like Scoot, pass some of the increase on to consumers, the analysts say.
