SINGAPORE – The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) is celebrating the ninth edition of Navy@Vivo, its largest public engagement event, with a social media contest offering visitors a chance to ride the Endurance-class landing ship tank (LST) on Nov 18.

Those who do not get to sail on the ship can still board it for a tour to have a first-hand look at what it takes to operate one of RSN’s largest ships.

Visitors at Navy@Vivo 2025 can also go on a ride on a fast craft utility (FCU), visit exhibitions and watch performances at VivoCity.

Navy@Vivo 2025 will be held at VivoCity from Nov 21 to 24. While admission to the event is free, the tour of RSS Resolution and the FCU ride are available only to those who successfully ballot for tickets.

Around 8,000 tickets per day will be issued for the ship visit and around 2,000 tickets per day for the ship visit and FCU ride. Members of the public can ballot for them at

go.gov.sg/nv25

from 6pm on Oct 3 to 11.59pm on Oct 12.

The self-guided tour of RSS Resolution will take visitors to seven key areas of the 141m-long ship, including the bridge, the flight deck, and the tank deck.

The bridge is one of the ship’s command centres, where officers navigate the ship with the help of the radar system and the electronic chart display and information system.

Visitors can also take a peek through the pelorus, an optical magnification instrument that enables officers to see farther and determine direction. Linked to the gyrocompass, which determines the direction of true north, the pelorus is an important navigation tool for the RSS Resolution.

The FCU ride will take visitors from RSS Resolution, past key maritime landmarks such as Tanjong Berlayer and the Dragon Tooth’s gate, before returning to the ship.

At the flight deck, those who are interested in the S-70B Seahawk Naval Helicopter can enter and sit in its cockpit. The naval tradition of the ceremonial sunset will also be conducted at the flight deck.

Visitors who wish to ride the FCU will be briefed at the tank deck before they board the FCU at the well dock.

Outside of RSS Resolution, Navy@Vivo visitors can learn what it is like to be a part of a submarine crew at the submarine exhibit.

Military Expert 7 Koh Cheok Wei, chairman of Navy@Vivo25, said the RSN hopes the event will rally Singaporeans to reflect on the collective responsibility in safeguarding Singapore and the role the navy plays in protecting the country’s way of life.

“The Republic of Singapore Navy has embarked on a journey of transformation in order to remain ready and relevant today and for the future,” he said, adding that some aspects of the transformation will be on display at the event.

These include maritime security unmanned surface vessels (Marsec USVs), which were deployed in 2025 for patrols in the Singapore Strait, and the operationalisation of the Invincible-class submarines.

The

SAF60 Roving Exhibitions

will also be making its last stop at Navy@Vivo 2025.
