Three men arrested for unlawful entry into Singapore

SINGAPORE - Three men who attempted to enter Singapore illegally were arrested on Thursday (Sept 22).

The Police Coast Guard detected three floating objects at sea off Woodlands Waterfront at 5.16am.

A coast guard craft intercepted the men, who are aged between 24 and 32.

They were arrested for unlawful entry into Singapore, police said.

"I appreciate my officers' vigilance and commitment for the successful detection and arrest in the current heightened security climate," said coast guard commander Hsu Sin Yun.
