* Parliament House will be open for 24 hours until Saturday 8pm so that members of the public can pay their last respects to the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

* Several world leaders, including Indonesia's President Joko Widodo and Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott, will be attending Mr Lee's state funeral at The National University of Singapore's University Cultural Centre on Sunday.

* A $4.4million nation-wide study called the Well-being of the Singapore Elderly found that one in 10 people in Singapore aged 60 and above has dementia.
