* Two Ministers of State, Dr Koh Poh Koon and Dr Janil Puthucheary, were sworn in at the Istana, completing Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's team for the new term of Government.
* Justin Chew Chee Kin, a former salesman at an errant Sim Lim Square retailer, the first of five employees charged with cheating its walk-in customers, was jailed for 28 weeks on Tuesday.
* Pop star Madonna is set to perform in Singapore for the first time. A date hasn't been set but the performance will likely take place this year at the National Stadium.
