An innocuous Facebook post by a 19-year-old girl on her travel experiences has fuelled discussion online and sparked a debate on whether her sentiments reflect those of her generation.

Student Audrey Chong shared with online content provider Youth.SG how a holiday with her friends did not turn out to be "all rainbows and sparkles" as she had expected.
