Built in 1929, the lift in a former hospital is believed to be the oldest still operating here

It has been in Singapore for almost 90 years, and seen more ups and downs than the island has in that time.

A 1929-built elevator, located in a former hospital at 5 Kadayanallur Street, is now believed to be the oldest lift still in operation here.
