Mr Takayuki Miyazaki, 27, a barista from The Local Coffee Stand in Tokyo, Japan, showing his skills at the Good Coffee Tokyo booth on the second day of the Singapore Coffee Festival yesterday.

The booth, featuring award-winning Japanese baristas, showcased beans from Japanese roasters such as Kochere beans from Ethiopia and honey-processed beans from Costa Rica.

The festival, which opened to the public yesterday, attracted more than 4,000 visitors on its second day.

The four-day event is organised by Sphere Exhibits, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, presented by DBS Bank and hosted by The Straits Times.
