SINGAPORE - StarHub's cable TV network was disrupted temporarily on Thursday (Dec 3) morning due to an isolated technical glitch.

The telco said the issue has since been resolved, and customers still experiencing issues are advised to reboot their set-top boxes.

A spokesman from StarHub said the disruption lasted for less than two hours.

Complaints from subscribers started streaming in on StarHub's Facebook page at around 7.15am, with many claiming there was a problem with the functions on their set-top boxes.

They were also unable to access any television channels.

Facebook user Dennis Tulud wrote: "Hey where's my cable channels? Showing nothing on my TV. Null when changing the channels. Set-top box time gone to 00:00 date Jan 1!"

Subscribers also had trouble getting through to the StarHub helpline, and they took to social media to vent their frustrations.

StarHub also informed the Media Development Authority (MDA) of the outage, said a spokesman from the agency.

"MDA has a service outage reporting framework in place which pay TV operators abide by. We were alerted by StarHub when the outage happened and we are looking into the matter."
