Singapore varsities on right track, says global panel

Global rankings of universities do not paint the full picture of how well the institutions are doing, so be wary of placing too much weight on them, according to an international panel which comes together every few years to advise Singapore on education trends.

The panel, with experts from the likes of Cambridge University, agreed that universities here are on the right track in introducing more experiential learning such as internships and overseas exposure. At the same time, more can be done to help adults embrace lifelong learning.
