SPH Magazines bags top honours at annual publishers awards

SINGAPORE-SPH Magazines won top awards for its key titles at the annual Media Publishers Association Singapore (MPAS) Awards on Monday (Sept 26).

Her World, Singapore's most-read women's magazine, was named Women's Media of the Year, while fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar, was awarded Front Cover of the Year (Licensed).

Named Chinese Media of the Year was SPH Magazines' luxury title, ICON. The award-winning luxury lifestyle magazine features fashion and beauty trends and also profiles international celebrities and influential figures here.

The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel- The Peak's quarterly spin off title - won Food Media of the Year for the third year running. It also clinched Video Media of the Year (Online).

The awards, given out at the Fullerton Hotel, recognise outstanding and creative work produced by the magazine publishing industry in Singapore.

Mr Loh Yew Seng, chief executive officer of SPH Magazines, said: "We aim to deliver the best multi-dimensional experiences to our readers over all media platforms to meet their interests and needs.

"The accolades from the MPAS Awards have again raised the bar and attest our leadership in the publishing industry."

Separately, SPH Magazines also launched a new brand campaign on Monday through which advertisers will have access to its 9.7 million readers in Asia.

Advertisers will see their materials not only in print but also on all digital platforms used by the titles.
