SINGAPORE - Spending yields rewards at this year's Consumer Electronics Exhibition (CEE) which is being at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.
With this year's new 'Super Spend and Redeem' deals, visitors not only leave with their purchases, but if they spend a given amount they can redeem gifts such as JBL Bluetooth speakers worth almost $100 or get a free ride home in a Mercedes-Benz.
Large crowds gathered to scope out this year's line-up of the latest gadgets and cash in on tech discounts of up to 90 per cent. Over half of the 200 brands featured are exhibitors.
Some of the latest products featured at the tech bonanza include the AFTERSHOCK PC's motorised, height-adjustable desk Omnidesk and the Segway-Ninebot MiniPro - a self-balancing electric hoverboard which does not require any registration with the Land Transport Authority.
Old and faulty gadgets, from mobile phones to televisions, can be traded in for cash vouchers and for some products like old laptops, hard cash.
Other highlight offerings at the fair include Challenger's Home Tech display featuring smart home systems such as Google Home in action, The Techanic's DIY computer booth allowing visitors to build their own computers on the spot and Microsoft's Windows Ink & Win challenge where attendees' creations of Singapore landscapes stand a chance to win them a Microsoft Surface Pro i5.
All visitors are eligible for an instant lucky spin with no minimum spending required.
The $300,000 worth of prizes up for grabs include a Samsung 49-inch UHD Smart TV NU700, Secret Lab omega NAPA leather gaming chairs and Mobot e-scooters.
