SMRT to extend some bus, train services on eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri

SINGAPORE – There will be more transport options for those planning to stay out late on March 30, the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, with SMRT running extended services on selected train lines and bus routes.
Train services on the North-South, East-West, Circle and Thomson-East Coast lines will run about half an hour later than usual that day, the operator said on March 25 – a day after SBS Transit announced similar extensions.
The last trains to terminus stations in Pasir Ris, Tuas Link, Marina South Pier and Jurong East will leave City Hall at 12.30am on March 31.
On the Circle Line, the final train for the day will leave Dhoby Ghaut for HarbourFront at 11.55pm and vice versa at 11.30pm.
Operating hours for the Bukit Panjang LRT and Changi Airport service will not change.
Eighteen of SMRT’s bus services will also be extended at four interchanges – Choa Chu Kang and the bus stop across from it, Bukit Panjang, Boon Lay and Woodlands. Most last-bus timings are fixed at around 1.30am.
The 18 bus services are: 300, 301, 302, 307, 983A, 901, 911, 912A, 912B, 913, 920, 922, 973A, 181, 240, 241, 243G and 974A.
The Downtown, North East and Sengkang-Punggol LRT lines, operated by SBS Transit, will also be extended.
The 17 SBS bus services that will end later are: 222, 225G, 228, 229, 410W, 114A, 60A, 63M, 325, 315, 291, 292, 293, 232, 238, 804 and 812.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri marks the end of the holy month of fasting, Ramadan, for Muslims. It is a public holiday here.
