SINGAPORE – The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) on Oct 28 launched its fourth public fund-raising appeal to aid humanitarian operations in Gaza.

This comes as aid organisations have begun gradually resuming operations since the first phase of the ceasefire came into effect on Oct 10, SRC said in a statement on Oct 28.

The funds from the latest appeal will be channelled to humanitarian operations by the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) and Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The public can make their donations via the following methods till April 30, 2026:

  • PayNow – Key in UEN: S86CC0370ERF1 and indicate “Gaza Humanitarian Crisis” under the bill reference.

  • Credit card – At

    www.giving.sg/donate/campaign/src-gazahumanitariancrisis

  • In person – Donations can be made at the Red Cross House at 15 Penang Lane during office hours.

  • Cheques – Payable to Singapore Red Cross Society, with “Gaza Humanitarian Crisis” indicated on the back. Also include name and postal address on the back, and mail it to Red Cross House.

  • Raise funds – register as a third-party fund raiser with SRC, or set up a campaign on Giving.sg

Donations are eligible for a 100 per cent tax deduction, SRC said.

Since the ceasefire, the ERC has sent more than 400 shipments into Gaza – about 5,700 tonnes of food and flour, 1,400 tonnes of medical supplies and 2,500 tonnes of petroleum products.

The PRCS “continues to serve as a lifeline for the people of Gaza, providing ambulance operations, medical evacuations, essential healthcare, mental health, psychosocial support and emergency relief”, said the SRC.

To date, SRC has contributed $1.9 million in humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza. This is channelled through the ERC and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

It includes medical and food supplies, tents and mental health services.

The latest conflict was sparked by an attack by the Hamas militant group on Israel on Oct 7, 2023.

On Aug 22, the United Nations officially

declared a famine in Gaza

, the first in the Middle East.

The destruction of water, sanitation and hygiene assets has also restricted access to drinking water, SRC said.

“The needs in Gaza are immense,” it added, citing 67,938 reported deaths and 190,169 people injured.

At least 94 per cent of hospitals in the Gaza Strip have been damaged or destroyed, and only 19 remain partially operational to provide basic emergency care, SRC said.

It said 92 per cent of housing units have been destroyed, displacing nearly all of Gaza’s population.

Additionally, more than a million children are in need of mental health and psychosocial support, SRC said. More than 658,000 school-aged children and 87,000 tertiary students do not have access to formal learning spaces, it added.

“The ceasefire has given us a critical window to move from emergency relief to rebuilding lives. The road to recovery will be long, but every act of compassion counts,” said SRC secretary-general and chief executive Benjamin William.

“We call on the people of Singapore to continue standing in solidarity with the vulnerable communities in Gaza as they rebuild their lives.”
