Paramedics and medical personnel rushed to the aid of "casualties" of a traffic accident on the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) in the wee hours of yesterday morning in a simulated scenario that tested their emergency response skills. The 90-minute-long operational exercise, where firefighters also extinguished a burning car and extricated trapped "victims", involved 60 personnel from the Singapore Civil Defence Force, the Singapore Police Force and the Land Transport Authority.
