The Singapore summit appears likely to produce a deal after the White House issued a statement noting the progress that preparatory talks had made on the eve of a historic meeting between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
"The discussions between the United States and North Korea are ongoing and have moved more quickly than expected," the White House said in a statement released yesterday.
