A four-day trip to Tokyo awaits a lucky Straits Times Run participant who signs up for the Sept 27 event before July 12.

Sponsored by Chan Brothers Travel, the holiday worth $3,000 is one of the exciting giveaways that participants who register for the annual event before Aug 10 stand to win.

Runners can choose from a 5km fun run, a 10km competitive run or a 18.45km celebratory route, designed to commemorate ST's 170th anniversary and mark the year - 1845 - the paper was founded.

Registration fees range from $48 to $68, with each participant receiving runners' entitlements worth close to $400, including a New Balance running vest and Chan Brothers travel discount vouchers worth $170 to commemorate the ST170 celebrations this year. Those taking part in the 18.45km race will also get a limited edition finishers' T-shirt.

Chan Brothers has more perks lined up for those who sign up early.

Those registering before July 26 stand to win a three- night Club Med Cherating Beach stay for two worth $2,000.

For those who sign up before Aug 10, there is a chance to win a seven-night Spice of South-east Asia cruise for two worth $5,000.
