A Singapore Airlines (SIA) Airbus was damaged while the plane was undergoing checks yesterday morning. SIA said the nose gear retracted during a landing gear system check after maintenance work to rectify a defect. An engineer was on board at the time, but was not injured. No other passengers or crew were inside. The airline said it would cooperate fully with the authorities in investigations.
