SINGAPORE – Two shuttle bus services will travel between most Circle Line (CCL) stations on weekend mornings starting Sept 6, as

MRT service will begin

later at 9am

.

The late openings are to allow time for testing the integration of systems across the MRT line before the opening of CCL Stage 6 in the first half of 2026, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and transport operator SMRT previously said.

Shuttle 36 and Shuttle 37 will operate from 5am to 9am on Saturday and Sunday, SMRT said on Sept 3.

Some weekends will be excluded – Oct 3 to 5, Nov 28 to 30, and Dec 5 to 7. Train service will operate at regular hours on these days.

The shuttle bus services will serve most stations on the CCL.

Shuttle 36 will run between HarbourFront and Bishan stations, with buses arriving every seven to 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, Shuttle 37 will ply between Bishan and Promenade stations at intervals of three to five minutes.

The shuttle buses will charge the same fares as train journeys.

CCL6 comprises three new underground stations – Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road – and will close the loop between HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations.

The closures will allow for longer engineering hours, which are needed for the integration and compatibility testing to be carried out “safely and rigorously”.

LTA and SMRT advised passengers to plan their journeys and rely on other MRT lines and bus services to reach their destinations.
