A trip to the mall last Friday was a welcome break for 40 seniors. During the trip - organised by the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Staff Volunteers Club and supported by The Seletar Mall - the seniors enjoyed a specially arranged lunch of Pad Thai (a stir-fried noodle dish) and lemongrass tea at the Bali Thai restaurant. The elderly beneficiaries were from Community Network Senior Services, which seeks to support vulnerable seniors and ensure they can live independently and actively in the community. Each of the seniors also received a surprise gift - a $20 mall voucher - and most went straight to the FairPrice supermarket afterwards to spend it.
