SINGAPORE - A 28-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a series of bicycle thefts.
The police received several reports last month from victims saying that their bicycles had been stolen from the bicycle bays of private condominiums in Bukit Timah.
After extensive follow-up investigations, Tanglin Police Division officers arrested the man at Woodlands Rise on Tuesday (Oct 3).
The man is also believed to be involved in other bicycle thefts from condominiums around the island, according to preliminary investigations.
He will be charged with the offence of theft under section 379 of the Penal Code, chapter 224, and remanded for further investigations.
If found guilty, he could be jailed for up to three years and fined.
