Visitors to Capella Singapore hotel were greeted by a mysterious sight yesterday: A section of the second floor had been sealed off with black curtains stretching from floor to ceiling and guarded by security cameras positioned around it.

The section was the most visible sign that the hotel was preparing to be the venue for one of the most anticipated diplomatic bilateral meetings in recent times - the summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
