Some 30 search and rescue personnel, hailing from nine nations, trained together for the first time during the inaugural Senior Training Course for Urban Search and Rescue, in Beijing last month.
It was co-hosted by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the China Earthquake Administration (CEA). The participants from Asean member states and the Asia-Pacific region were involved in a week-long training course that comes under the Asean Regional Forum.
