SCDF boosts ambulance fleet by 35% to cope with Covid-19 surge

Calls to the SCDF have increased from an average of 635 a day in January to an average of 830 a day in the first two weeks of February.

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has increased its fleet of ambulances by 35 per cent since last year to cope with the surge in Covid-19 cases in the community.
This is among the measures that SCDF has in place to manage the rise in 995 calls and prioritise life-threatening emergencies, it said in a Facebook post on Monday (Feb 28).
