SINGAPORE - Road users who want to appeal against their traffic offences from Nov 1 can only do so online via the police's e-services.
With the Traffic e-Appeals portal in place, the Traffic Police will no longer accept walk-in appeals on traffic offences, it said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 25).
Appeals sent by fax, e-mail or post will also not be accepted.
"We would also like to reiterate that appeals for traffic offences will only be considered on grounds of medical emergencies. Documentary proof will be required before the appeal will be considered," a police spokesman said.
He added that police takes a firm stance against traffic offenders and appeals that do not meet the criteria will be rejected.
Payment for outstanding traffic offences can be made at www.police.gov.sg/pay.
