SINGAPORE – Flash floods may occur in Lorong Gambir in Upper Serangoon and Jalan Pokok Serunai in East Coast amid heavy rain on July 4, national water agency PUB said.

In separate posts on social media platform X at around 5.20pm and 5.50pm, PUB advised the public to avoid both places for the next hour.

Heavy rain was expected over southern, eastern and central areas of Singapore from 5.55pm to 6.30pm, said PUB.

On July 1, the Meteorological Service Singapore said short, thundery showers over parts of the island are to be expected in the late morning and afternoon on most days in the first half of July, with widespread showers and gusty winds expected before dawn and in the morning on a few days.
