SINGAPORE - From Sept 8, members of the public have to access most of Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) e-services via Singpass or Corppass.

The change in access methods, along with a corporate website refresh, is to enhance data protection and provide a more user-friendly online experience for the public, said the police in a statement on Sept 7.

Singpass and Corppass, which is used by businesses and other entities, are now widely used for digital identification here.

Two e-services do not require Singpass or Corppass: the foreign identification number (FIN) can be used to apply and pay for a certificate of clearance, and to check the status of the application; while the foreign vehicle number can be used to check outstanding traffic offences and pay traffic fines.

These methods are retained to facilitate the needs of foreigners who do not have Singpass.

E-services that can be accessed by only Singpass include submitting a medical examination report for aged drivers and applying for a qualified driving licence.

Checking the status of Driver Improvement Points and applying for certified true copy of police documents will require logging in to Singpass or Corppass.

Individuals or businesses who do not have Singpass or Corppass can register for an account directly via the respective portals.

The police’s corporate website will be refreshed on Sept 8. It will be unavailable to the public from 8pm to midnight on Sept 7, with the possibility of intermittent disruption from midnight to 8am the following day.

Those who need assistance to access the e-services, or have any other queries, can contact the police via its

feedback portal

, call 1800-358-0000, or visit a police station.
