A judge's decision to speak to the children directly in an acrimonious divorce case led to a swift resolution in terms of settling custody, after a father had taken his three children away from the mother and prevented them from going to school.
Senior associate director at PKWA Law Dorothy Tan, who represented the woman, said the father filed court papers claiming the children were afraid of the mother and did not want to live with her.
