Colonel Paul Cheak, Chief Army Intelligence Officer, receiving the new Regimental Colours from President Halimah Yacob on behalf of the Headquarters Army Intelligence, as the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) commemorated SAF Day at the Safti Military Institute yesterday. New Regimental Colours were also awarded to the 8th Battalion, Singapore Infantry Regiment (8 SIR), and 9th Battalion, Singapore Infantry Regiment (9 SIR). Regimental Colours are conferred upon units and formations that have attained operational capability or made commendable achievements. The parade was attended by more than 3,000 SAF operationally ready national servicemen, full-time national servicemen and regulars.
