A usually businesslike man who is known to be a policy wonk, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong displays a different side when handed a guitar.
In one video on the Internet, he is on stage belting out the Hokkien hit, I Ask Heaven, while plucking his six string with emotion. It is among various clips of him performing for a live audience over the years, at parties and events.
