Yishun South NPC will be converted to Nee Soon South Neighbourhood Police Post after Dec 18.

SINGAPORE – There will be one fewer police centre come Dec 18 as Yishun North Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) merges with the Yishun South station.
The move is part of the police’s restructuring of their ground deployments and aims to pool resources from smaller, “geographically linked” centres into a larger base, they said on Nov 22.
“This will enhance our ability to manage incidents of various scales and complexities,” the police added.
The new Yishun NPC will bring the tally of police stations in Singapore down from 35 to 34. It will take over Yishun North NPC’s current premises at 31 Yishun Central.
Yishun South NPC at 32 Yishun Street 81 will be converted to the Nee Soon South Neighbourhood Police Post. The centre has been closed for renovation since January 2022, according to the police website.
The current Nee Soon South police post at 798 Yishun Ring Road will in turn become the new Khatib police post. Both unmanned police posts will be fitted with self-help kiosks available round the clock for residents to access police services.
The police had on Feb 19 said that eight new police posts will be built by 2025.
