SINGAPORE – When her baby, Tristan, refused semi-solid food during his weaning phase, Alessandra did not think much of it.

“I was not worried because he was my third child. He was eating well. It was just the texture that he didn’t like,” says the 46-year-old translator, who declined to give her full name.
