More students applied for Direct School Admission (DSA) last year, using electronic means to show their talents amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) said it received about 30,500 applications last year for places in secondary schools through the DSA route - 1,500 more than in the year before. About 3,800 students succeeded in securing spots, up from 3,500 in 2019.
