SINGAPORE – Eighteen-year-old Soon Chuan Min enjoys Chinese New Year not only for the festivities, but also because she is able to use her red packet collection to sponsor a child.

Since 2022, the second-year junior college (JC) student has used most of her hongbao collection to sponsor a child under humanitarian organisation World Vision.
