Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony
From Feb 3 to March 28, Singaporeans and permanent residents can catch the Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony at Sentosa’s Siloso Beach at 60 cents (usual price $22) each.
Celebrating Singapore’s 60th birthday, the special ticket price applies only to the 8.40pm weekday shows’ standard seats. The 20-minute performance, which debuted in 2014, also plays at 7.40pm.
It is a visual spectacle with laser, fire and water effects and pyrotechnics, synchronised with symphony music.
Since Feb 1, the fireworks display has been four times longer than before, with nearly 200 shots lighting up the sky every show.

Chinese New Year celebrations are in full swing on Sentosa island until Feb 16.
The Year of the Snake is also known as xiao long nian, or Little Dragon Year, so many festivities centre on the majestic dragon.
For starters, catch the underwater dragon dance presentation, a perennial festive favourite, at Resorts World Sentosa’s (RWS) S.E.A. Aquarium daily at 3.30pm.
Take photos with its manta ray mascots Mika and Manja, which are decked out in traditional Chinese New Year outfits.
If you are born in the Year of the Snake, get a free popcorn voucher at the ticketing counter and redeem the treat at Ocean Bites in the aquarium.
Prices for tickets start at $41 an adult and $31 a child aged four to 12. Go to rwsentosa.com/spring-in-the-sea

Also at RWS is the Starlit Dragon Spectacular performance that takes place on selected evenings at 7.30pm.
Follow an 88m-long dragon as it passes festive displays, including a Pyramid of Prosperity LED display and the Rising Abundance hot air balloon, before arriving at the Lake of Dreams. There, you can receive chocolate gold coins from the God of Fortune and Fu Lu Shou, the Chinese deities of good fortune, prosperity and longevity.
For more dragon sightings, look to Palawan Beach. You may spot in the sky a new 20m-long dragon kite, among other large designs, flown by experts from the Singapore Kite Association. It is part of the Flight of Wishes kite fiesta, which started in December, and runs on weekends from 3 to 6pm.
Join the free kite-making workshop, which introduced four templates featuring festive icons, such as firecrackers and a Chinese lantern. Each craft session is on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis and lasts about 15 minutes.

The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall is closed for renovation till 2027, so its signature event Wan Qing Festival of Spring will take place off-site. It is partnering Safra Punggol to hold its activities on Feb 8 and 9, from 11am to 5.30pm.
Among the highlights is a Hakka Qilin traditional folk dance performance. The qilin, a mythical creature in Chinese folklore, symbolises good fortune and prosperity.
There are also free craft stations, such as one in which you can try your hand at the traditional art of Chinese ink rubbing, featuring zodiac animals.
If your kids are aged six to 12, sign them up for a festive Chinese drum workshop to learn a variety of rhythms and beats. Fees start at $20 a child and include a 12cm Chinese drum that every participant can take home.
Or join a baking class and make snake-shaped pineapple tarts. It costs from $60 for a child and an adult.
