The Tiny Chef Show
The Tiny Chef Show (2022 to present), which won the Outstanding Preschool Animated Series award at the Children’s and Family Emmys on March 15, returns to Nick Jr with the third and latest season.
The stop-motion series follows Chef, the titular puppet character, who whips up plant-based dishes in his tree-stump home with his assistant Olly.
Even though things can get chaotic in his kitchen, Chef always figures out a solution, showing kids how to believe in themselves and have fun cooking.
In each episode, Chef also invites a human celebrity guest to discuss food, friendship and more.
The Tiny Chef, which began as a series of short, stop-motion videos on Instagram in 2018, amassed a large following and was subsequently developed into a pre-school series on Nick Jr.

In the new season, Chef and Olly attempt to bake a record-breaking cake with the most layers and Chef tries to dispel a rumour that he cannot make a souffle.
Nick Jr is available on StarHub TV Channel 304 and Singtel TV Channel 238. Watch the show on weekdays from April 7 to 18 at 9.45am or on demand.

Mufasa: The Lion King, one of 2024’s top 10 highest-grossing global movie releases, is now streaming on Disney+. Even if your family saw it in cinemas in December, it is worth watching again.
A prequel to the 2019 Lion King live-action CGI film, which was based on the 1994 animated movie, the story traces Mufasa’s unexpected rise to becoming the beloved king of the Pride Lands.
Lost and alone, orphaned cub Mufasa meets Taka, a sympathetic lion prince who takes him in as a brother. They join the royal family on a journey across Africa, facing various challenges and threats along the way.
The narrative is recounted in the present day by Rafiki, the wise mandrill, to Mufasa’s granddaughter Kiara.
The visuals in this production are stunning, featuring photo-realistic animals and landscapes.
You will be treated to a variety of breathtaking scenery – lush savannahs, majestic forests and icy peaks – as Mufasa and his companions journey across the continent in search of a promised land.

Join young twins Wil and Wyn, along with their teenage cousin Eli, as they embark on forest adventures.
Your kids will discover fascinating facts about South-east Asia’s wildlife, from the clever drongo bird with its ability to mimic sounds to the critically endangered Sunda pangolin, a nocturnal mammal.
The two-part Wil & Wyn’s Wild World picture book series aims to introduce young readers to native animals and cultivate in them a love for nature.
Author Gloria Seow taps her 15 years of experience as a professional nature guide leading walks to wild places in Singapore by day and by night. The stories are brought to life by Zinnira Bani’s vivid drawings.
Seow also educates readers and clarifies common misconceptions. For instance, in the first book Fantastic Forest Adventure, Wyn asks if the Wagler’s pit viper is poisonous when they come across the snake.
“No, but it is venomous,” replies Eli. “Poisonous means that if you eat it, you will become ill. Venomous refers to an animal’s bite or sting that can harm or kill.”
Buy the books at $14.28 each from the publisher’s website (armourpublishing.com), Books Kinokuniya and Amazon.
