Labubu-themed installations at VivoCity
Love Labubu? Head to VivoCity with your kids to snap wefies with giant installations inspired by The Monsters Wacky Mart series.
Labubu, a character from The Monsters series, is the creation of Hong Kong designer Kasing Lung.
Until Oct 19, the mall’s outdoor Sky Park on Level 3 has been transformed into the Labubu Mini Market, featuring four immersive photo zones. Admission is free.
These zones include the Basket of Mischief, a 3.6m-wide shopping basket; the quirky Snack Attack playground with a jumbo milk carton; and Quick Bites, a retro-style food truck.
The highlight is a life-size Labubu “convenience store”, where you can admire items fashioned after the sharp-toothed, fluffy-eared character, ranging from keychains to cushions to figurines.

KFC Singapore is bringing back its kids’ meals after more than 10 years. From Oct 1, you will find the new Lil’ Bucket meals on its menu. These offer smaller portions of the chain’s popular items.
Breakfast options, available from 7 to 11am, include chicken macaroni soup or an eggy twister ($4.95 each), which are served with a choice of drink such as apple juice.
For lunch and dinner, from 11am until closing, select from a two-piece chicken tenders set, a single drumstick or a tenders twister ($5.45 each). All these come with coleslaw and a drink.
The Lil’ Bucket meals are presented in a plastic bucket with a lid and handle. It is not just for food – kids are encouraged to unleash their imagination and transform it into a drum, spaceship or anything else they can dream up.
At the Plaza Singapura outlet on Oct 4, from 2 to 5pm, the first 500 families with kids aged 12 and below can take pictures for free at a photo booth. This is part of its Make Space For Imagination pop-up event.
And to encourage reading, KFC has teamed up with the National Library Board. The Tengah Plantation Plaza KFC store now includes a reading corner filled with children’s books.
At selected KFC locations such as Hougang 1, Jurong Point and White Sands, you can use your phone to scan QR codes on tables to access and borrow e-books for your children. Each month, 20 lucky ones who borrow e-books will win KFC merchandise.
