SINGAPORE - School finally became fun and enjoyable for Gan Hui Xin when she got into Assumption Pathway School (APS) in 2016. It was here her course in hairdressing taught her skills she was interested to learn.

Ms Gan, now 19, says she chose the course because she wanted to cut her parents' hair so they would not have to spend money at a salon.
