SINGAPORE – Singaporeans will be able to enjoy a variety of water activities in Marina Bay when the People’s Association (PA) establishes its first PAssion Wave outpost in the Bayfront area in 2025.

They can participate in group activities, such as kayaking, pedal boating and dragon boating, at the new location while taking in the views of the bay.

The facility, which will be located at Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade in front of the Red Dot Design Museum, is a four-minute walk from three different MRT stations – Bayfront, Downtown and Marina Bay.

Senior Minister of State for Defence and Manpower Zaqy Mohamad attended a ceremony at the promenade on Sept 14 to mark the announcement of the facility. He said it will add vibrancy to and transform Marina Bay.

“We are creating a dynamic space where Singaporeans from all walks of life across Singapore, including those working in the business district, will have direct access to recreational activities such as kayaking and dragon boating in these waters,” he said.

There are currently six PAssion Wave outlets where residents can rent equipment and take part in activities such as sea rafting, sailing, windsurfing and sport climbing.

They are in

Bedok Reservoir,

Rhu Cross in Marina Bay and Jurong Lake Gardens, as well as at the beachfronts in East Coast Park, Pasir Ris and Sembawang.
