SINGAPORE - The National Parks Board (NParks) has awarded a tender for design consultancy services for Jurong Lake Gardens Central and East.

The tender was awarded to a team comprising Liu & Wo Architects Pte Ltd, Landscape Design Inc and SALD Pte Ltd.

The 90ha Jurong Lake Gardens, Singapore's new national gardens in the heartland, will comprise Jurong Lake Gardens West, which was renamed from Jurong Lake Park; Jurong Lake Gardens Central, comprising Chinese and Japanese Gardens; and Jurong Lake Gardens East, which has a promenade fronting the new Science Centre and along the northern and eastern shore of Jurong Lake.

NParks said Jurong Lake Gardens will be a people's garden, with landscaped spaces catering to families and the community.

The agency will showcase the awarded designs for Jurong Lake Gardens Central and East at engagement sessions where the public can share their feedback.

The sessions will take place from Nov 26 to Dec 4 at Canopy @ J Link in Jurong East (11am to 9pm); from Dec 5 to 11 at Lakeside MRT Station during station opening hours (5am to 12.45am); and in townhall sessions from December to February.
