SINGAPORE - Nine bus services will be affected this Sunday (Feb 28) by road closures in the Civic District and parts of the Central Business District for the first Car-Free Sunday SG event.

The affected services, operated by SBS Transit, are 97, 100, 130, 131, 133, 186, 195, 400 and 402.

In addition, services 400 and 402 will start only at 9am because of the road closures.

These services will skip bus stops along affected roads, including Shenton Way, Marina Boulevard and Bayfront Avenue.

Car-Free Sunday SG is a six-month trial by the Urban Redevelopment Authority, to be held on the last Sunday of every month until July this year.

Some 4.7km of roads in the affected areas will be closed to traffic and reserved for cyclists and pedestrians, as well as other activities, between 7am and 9am.

St Andrew's Road and part of Stamford Road will be closed until noon, while Connaught Drive will remain fully closed until 7pm.
