SINGAPORE - The new waterfront Safra Punggol will open its facilities to the public from April 24. This was revealed when Mr Ong Ye Kung, Senior Minister of State for Defence and President of Safra, visited the development on Thursday (Jan 14).

When completed, Safra Punggol will serve about 80,000 NSmen and their families living in the north-eastern part of Singapore.

The $64.4 million facility is the sixth Safra clubhouse in Singapore, and will feature a first-of-its-kind 23,000 sq ft indoor water playground that spans three storeys.

Called Splash @ Kidz Amaze, the water playground will feature eight play decks, five slides and party rooms adjacent to the play area as venues for families to host events.

It will also be the first Safra club to feature a cycling and rollerblading kiosk, where patrons will be able to ride to East Coast Park, for instance, through the adjacent Punggol Park Connector Network.

A seventh Safra club that will be located in the north-western part of Singapore is in the pipeline.
