SINGAPORE - A new Singapore Visitor Centre in a conserved Peranakan shophouse opposite Somerset MRT will open on Tuesday.
It will replace the existing 12-year-old visitor centre located a short walk away.
The new centre has features such as free Wi-Fi and interactive information kiosks where tourists can customise itineraries and print them out on the spot. It also has a retail space offering souvenirs by local designers such as tins featuring the facade of shophouses and tutu kueh erasers.
The old centre will close on Tuesday.
