Miss Lam won herself a $10,000 cash prize, along with an exclusive feature in Her World magazine.

The undergraduate at NTU Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information also won the title of Cosmoprof Miss Photogenic.

The first runner-up was undergraduate Shwetaa Rai, 19, who also bagged the titles of Miss Popularity and Her World Runway Star, while James Cook University undergraduate Sohee Park, 23, emerged as the second runner-up.

The 19 finalists strutted through three fashion sequences, in a show which also included three dance performances and a guest item with host Siti Khalijah.

"I really can't believe I have won, as I never expected to win. I've wanted to do this since three years ago, so I'm so glad that I did it," said Miss Lam, who added that she will be giving her $10,000 cash prize to her parents.
