SINGAPORE - There will be a new direct bus service to the Singapore Zoo that leaves from Khatib MRT Station starting from Friday (March 10).

The 15-minute bus ride is priced at $1, but will be free this weekend (March 10 -12) to celebrate its launch.

Children below three years old will ride for free.

Visitors can take the bus to reach the zoo, Night Safari and River Safari.

The service will operate daily between 8.30am and 7pm at 30-minute intervals. During peak periods, the frequency will be increased.

The fare can be paid using an ez-link card, said the Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS).

The service is a collaboration between WRS and Strides, a wholly owned subsidiary of SMRT Taxis.

Since May 2016, WRS has introduced Mandai Express routes from Bedok, Tampines and Sengkang on weekends and public holidays.
