SINGAPORE – A 54-year-old motorcyclist was taken unconscious to hospital after an accident involving two motorcycles and a car along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on June 20.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the man was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The police and SCDF said they were alerted to an accident along the BKE towards Woodlands, before the Mandai Road exit, at about 4pm.
Police investigations are ongoing.
According to Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao, the accident resulted in the temporary closure of two of the four lanes of the expressway, causing traffic delays of over four hours.
Motorists took to social media to warn others about the traffic jam.
In a Facebook post on June 20, Tower Transit said that its buses for services 171, 963, 963E and 966 were experiencing delays of up to 90 minutes due to the accident.
